DynaNames.com Privacy Policy
DynaNames.com knows that you care how information about
you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust
that we will do so carefully and sensibly. By visiting any site offered by DynaNames.com, you are accepting
the practices described in this Privacy Policy ("Policy").
If you have any questions regarding the Policy, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@dynanames.com.
What Personal Information Does
DynaNames.com Gather?
Information You Give Us: We receive
and store any information you enter on our site
or give us in any other way. We use the information
that you provide for such purposes as responding to
your requests, providing our services, and communicating with you.
Domain Name Registration Information: You are required to provide information (a) to register a domain name, (b) to update information about a domain name previously registered, or (c) to submit questions about our service. To register a domain name, you are required to provide the name you are registering; your name and postal address (or those of the person for whom you are registering the name); technical information about the computer with which the domain name will be associated; and the name, postal address, e-mail address, and voice and (where available) fax telephone numbers for the technical, administrative, billing, and zone contacts for the domain name. Once the domain name has been registered, your registration agreement requires you to correct and update this data promptly. If you submit a question about our services, you will be asked to provide your name and e-mail address.
Why you must provide the information. The information you provide when registering a domain name (or correcting or updating registration information) is required to allow the Internet to associate the domain name with your computer, to allow us to properly handle your account (including notifying you at renewal time), and to permit others operating or using the Internet to easily contact you to resolve issues that arise in connection with the domain name. It will also be stored under a data escrow program to keep the domain name operating in the event we leave the domain name registration business. When you submit a question to our site, contact information is needed so that we can respond.
Who will receive the information. We will provide information you submit in registering a domain name or updating related information to our own employees and consultants, to the administrator of the registry for the top-level domain in which you are registering, to operators and users of the Internet making WHOIS queries concerning your domain-name registration, to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN"), and to escrow agents, auditors, WHOIS service providers, and replacement registrars that ICANN may designate. In addition, unless you instruct us otherwise, we may periodically provide your registration information to other companies for inclusion in value-added Internet database and search services. Information you provide in asking questions about our service may be given to our employees and consultants and, upon its request, to ICANN.
Accessing, correcting, and updating information. You are required to correct any erroneous or out-of-date contact information concerning your registration. You may access the information you provide, correct it, and update it by visiting our site.
Information you provide about others. In providing personal information about other individuals (such as someone in whose name you are registering or the domain name's technical or billing contacts), you represent that you have notified them of the purposes for which the information will be used, the recipients of the information, and how they can access and correct the information, and that you have obtained their consent.
Automatic Information: We receive
and store certain types of information whenever you
interact with us. For example, like many sites,
we use "cookies," and we obtain certain
types of information when your web browser accesses
our site. Examples of the information we collect
and analyze include the Internet Protocol (IP) address
used to connect your computer to the Internet; computer
and connection information such as browser type and
version, operating system, and platform; the full
Uniform Resource Locators (URL) click stream to, through,
and from our site, including date and time. We
use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the
site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use.
What About Cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer
to your computer's hard drive through your web browser
to enable our systems to recognize your browser. Besides
using the information as described above, DynaNames.com
utilizes cookies to control the flow of the ordering
processes by maintaining the state of your online transactions.
Some of our business partners may use cookies on our
site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no
access to or control over these cookies.
Does DynaNames.com Share the Information It
Receives?
Yes, we do share information; but only as previously mentioned above and described
below. Otherwise we will not provide your personal information
without your consent.
WHOIS: We are required by ICANN to collect information about you
during the domain name registration process. This
information is then required by ICANN to be made available to the
public via an interactive web page and a "port
43" WHOIS service. Please note that we are not
able to control how members of the public use
the WHOIS information.
Advertisers: We may share aggregated
demographic information with our partners and advertisers.
This is not linked to any personal information that
can identify any individual person.
Partners: We may partner with other
parties to provide specific services. When the user
signs up for these services, we may share names
or other contact information that is necessary for
the third party to provide these services.
Agents: We may engage other companies and individuals
to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include
processing credit card payments, providing marketing
assistance, providing customer services, sending postal
mail and email to you, removing repetitive information
from customer lists, and analyzing data. These persons
have access to personal information needed to perform
their functions. These companies do not retain, share,
store or use personally identifiable information that
you provide to DynaNames.com for any secondary purposes.
Service Providers: We may engage other
companies and individuals to perform enhanced services
on our behalf. Our service providers may have
access to personal information needed to perform their
services. These parties are not allowed to use personally
identifiable information except for the purpose of
providing these services.
Business Transfer: As we continue
to develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses
or their assets. In such transactions, customer information
generally is one of the transferred business assets.
Also, if DynaNames.com, or all or substantially all
of its assets, were ever to be acquired, customer information
will most likely be one of the transferred assets.
Compliance: We release account and
other personal information when we believe release
is appropriate to comply with law; enforce or apply
our agreements; or protect
the rights, property, or safety of DynaNames.com,
our users, or others. This includes exchanging information
with other companies and organizations for fraud protection
and credit risk reduction.
How Secure Is Information About Me?
We work to protect the security of your information
during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
software, which encrypts information you input and the
information we may send to our agents.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized
access to your password and to your computer. Be sure
to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
What Information Can I Access?
DynaNames.com gives you access to certain information
about you for the limited purpose of viewing and, in
certain cases, updating that information. When
you update information, we may keep a copy of the prior
version for our records.
