About DynaNames.com
What is DynaNames?
DynaNames.com is an ICANN accredited registrar primarily serving bulk registrants. It is one of the country’s top ten registrars and is open to any bulk registrant. We offer competitive volume discounts if you are a high volume registrant.
Who is your target market?
We’re open to bulk registrants, but we find that DynaNames customers have the highest expectations for and more discerning about service than most registrants. DynaNames customers recognize superior service and are willing to pay for it. Our typical customers own or register more than 100 domain names per month.
How many customers does DynaNames have?
DynaNames has hundreds of customers. Our goal is to have thousands of customers by the end on 2007. To attract those customers. We are planning on expanding our product offerings while adhering to our strong customer service commitments.
How are DynaNames and Oversee.net (or Domain Sponsor) related?
DynaNames.com is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oversee.net. DynaNames was initially acquired specifically to house some of Oversee’s premium domain names and came with legacy registrants. Because of high interest levels from those registrants wanting to stay because of the service and functionality, we have decided to expand our product offerings.
Does DynaNames own any domain names?
DynaNames is a registrar and is not in the business of owning domain names. DynaNames is the registrant for a small number of domain names including DynaNames.com and other domain names for which the WHOIS data was once corrupted. DynaNames is holding those domain names until the rightful owner can be identified.
Does DynaNames do Domain Tasting?
DynaNames is not in the business of registering domains for its own account, either through tasting or otherwise. DynaNames has historically offered domain tasting to certain high-volume customers. However, upon review, DynaNames has suspended domain tasting for all customers while we assess best practices surrounding this activity. We will likely re-open tasting only to registrants that have demonstrated sufficient rules and procedures to significantly reduce the occurrence of trademark violations.
What is the difference between domain tasting and domain kiting and what is DynaNames's position?
Domain "tasting" involves examining a pool of domain names for their PPC performance value during a 5-day grace period and keeping names that have the potential to earn at least their value in registration and ICANN fees over the course of a year. Domain names that do not meet the criteria, during this small window of scrutiny, are generally returned. The net product of the practice is a gain in registration overall. While this is a fully acceptable practice in accord with ICANN policies, at this time, domain tasting is not available through DynaNames.
Domain "kiting," however, is a term that implies the repeated registration and deletion of the same domain names to game the process and avoid ever paying domain name registration fees. Such a practice would appear as 6 or more add/delete events for the same names over the course of a month, permitting the names to be operational without payment over that entire period.
DynaNames does not support nor condone any domain "kiting" practices and operates within the guidelines set forth by the Registries.
